These final steps verify your security and complete your profile, making you visible to your group!
Step A: Joining the Group
- Open the App: Open Device Tracker Plus.
- Enter Group Code: If you signed up via the website, you will need to Enter the Group code you received.
Step B: Phone Number Verification (Security)
Verifying your phone number is a crucial step that adds account security and allows you to seamlessly transfer your membership over to a new device when you upgrade.
- Enter Number: Enter your mobile number when prompted (this is for verification only).
- Request Code: Click ‘Get code’.
- Receive SMS: A 6-digit Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) code will be sent via SMS to the phone number you provided.
- Enter Code: Enter the code back into the app when prompted.
- Verify: Click ‘Verify’.
Step C: Completing Your Profile
This is where you make your profile personal to you.
- Add Your Name: Add your name to your profile. This is the name other group members will see.
- Choose Avatar (Optional):
- Upload a photo from your phone’s gallery.
- Take a new photo.
- Choose from one of our pre-set avatar pictures.
- Finalise: Click ‘Update your profile’.
That's it! Your account is now active, and location sharing will begin immediately once you set the correct permissions
