The person who originally subscribes is the first Admin, but the group can have multiple Admins!
Managing Admin Status
- Multiple Admins: Yes, there can be multiple Admins in a group.
- Granting Admin Status: Only an existing Admin can change another member's status to Group Admin.
How to Remove a Member (For Admins Only)
Only group Admins can remove members from a group.
- Go to Settings: From any screen in the app, tap on the ‘Settings’ icon in the bottom-right corner of the navigation bar.
- Find Group Admin Options: On your profile screen, scroll down until you see the ‘Group Admin’ section.
- Select Remove Members: Tap on the ‘Remove Members’ option to see a list of everyone in your group.
- Confirm Removal: Select the person you wish to remove from the group and follow the prompts to confirm your choice.
- Immediate Effect: They will be immediately removed from the group. When a person is removed, they can no longer see anyone's location, and you will no longer see theirs.
How to Change the Group Name (For Admins Only)
Admins can also change the name of the group. This option is located within the ‘Group Admin’ section of the Settings menu.
